Celebrating India’s Constitution at Maha Kumbh, Prayagraj
The Department of Justice is hosting a special event at Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on January 24, 2025. This marks the grand conclusion of the year-long “Hamara Samvidhan Hamara Samman” (HS2) campaign, an initiative aimed at spreading awareness about the Constitution of India and citizens’ legal rights.
About the Campaign
The HS2 campaign was launched on January 24, 2024, by the Hon’ble Vice President of India to commemorate India’s 75th year as a Republic and honor the Constitution’s adoption. It called on citizens to contribute to India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
Throughout the year, the campaign engaged over 1.3 lakh citizens through the Panch Pran Pledge on the MyGov platform. Law students conducted legal awareness drives in villages, benefiting over 21,000 people. Initiatives like Nari Bhagidari and Vanchit Varg Samman reached more than 70 lakh citizens, promoting women’s participation and social inclusion. Competitions and webinars inspired youth involvement, emphasizing their role in building a better future.

The event will be held at Parmarth Triveni Pushp, Arail Ghat, during the Maha Kumbh, one of the world’s largest spiritual gatherings. The occasion symbolizes a harmonious blend of India’s cultural heritage and constitutional values.
