Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has made a significant stride in electric mobility with the unveiling of its first Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) SUV, the e-VITARA, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This landmark vehicle is a testament to Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to decarbonization and sustainable mobility while offering world-class performance and innovation.
Built on Advanced EV Technology
The e-VITARA is engineered on Maruti Suzuki’s all-new HEARTECT-e platform, designed exclusively for electric vehicles. This platform enhances structural strength, safety, and cabin space, ensuring a premium driving experience. Equipped with two battery options—49kWh and 61kWh—the SUV delivers an impressive range of over 500 km on a single charge (MIDC-tested for 61kWh).
Futuristic Design and Comfort
Blending bold SUV styling with advanced technology, the e-VITARA boasts aerodynamic R18 alloy wheels and polyhedral aesthetics. Inside, the digital cockpit offers a twin-deck floating console, 10-way power-adjustable driver seat, ventilated front seats, and sliding rear seats for unmatched comfort. Its premium sound system, “Infinity by Harman,” complements the sophisticated ambiance with multi-color ambient lighting.
Advanced Safety and Connectivity
The e-VITARA comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including 7 airbags, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), an electronic parking brake, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Connectivity is ensured through Next-Gen Suzuki Connect, offering over 60 smart features such as remote vehicle control and real-time updates.
Comprehensive Electric Eco-Solutions
Maruti Suzuki introduces the ‘e for me’ Electric Eco-Solutions, which provide seamless EV ownership through smart home chargers, a robust network of DC fast chargers across 1,000 cities, and a user-friendly app for route planning, payment, and remote charging control. Additionally, over 1,500 EV-enabled service outlets nationwide offer complete support for EV owners.
From India to the World
Proudly manufactured in India, the e-VITARA is set to be exported to over 100 global markets, aligning with the government’s “Make in India” vision. Rigorous testing under extreme temperature conditions, from sand to snow, ensures the SUV meets international standards.
