New Light Commercial Vehicle Combines Efficiency, Safety, and Sustainability

Mumbai, January 28, 2025: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., a leader in India’s utility vehicle segment and the LCV category under 3.5 tons, has officially launched the CNG variant of its Veero Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV). Available in two trims, the Veero CNG is priced at ₹8.99 lakh for the base 1.4 XXL SD V2 CNG option and ₹9.39 lakh for the 1.4 XXL SD V4 (A) CNG option, both ex-showroom. The Veero CNG, first unveiled in September 2024, is now available for purchase.

Key Features:

  • Unmatched Efficiency: The Veero CNG delivers a mileage of 19.2 km/kg* and comes equipped with a 150-liter CNG tank, providing a best-in-class range of 480 km. An additional 4.5-liter petrol tank extends the total range beyond 500 km.
  • Enhanced Performance: Powered by a Turbo CNG engine, it produces 67 kW of power and 210 Nm of torque, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal efficiency.
  • Versatile Design: With a payload capacity of 1.4 tons and a cargo length of 3035 mm, the vehicle is suited for various commercial applications.
  • Safety Focused: The Veero CNG adheres to AIS096 crash safety standards and features high-strength steel construction, a driver-side airbag, a False Start Avoidance System, and superior driver visibility.
  • Comfort and Convenience: Designed for driver comfort, it includes air conditioning, a reclining driver’s seat, and a first-in-segment TFT cluster.

Sustainability and Low Ownership Costs:

Mahindra’s modular Urban Prosper Platform (UPP) underpins the Veero CNG, emphasizing sustainability and clean mobility. The vehicle includes features like Engine Stop-Start and a driver fuel coaching system, ensuring low operational costs. Its 20,000 km service interval further reduces maintenance expenses.

The Veero CNG’s bold design, characterized by a distinctive grille and vertical headlamps, gives it a commanding road presence, reinforcing its brand promise of being “Soch Se Aage.”
