Prime Minister Narendra Modi Visits Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, Takes Holy Dip at Sangam
New Delhi, February 5, 2025 — Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi visited the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj today, participating in the sacred ritual of taking a holy dip at the Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers.
In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister expressed his spiritual experience, stating, “Blessed to be at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. The Snan at the Sangam is a moment of divine connection, and like the crores of others who have taken part in it, I was also filled with a spirit of devotion. May Maa Ganga bless all with peace, wisdom, good health, and harmony.”
In Hindi, he added, “प्रयागराज महाकंभ में आज पवित्र संगम में स्नान के बाद पूजा-अरचना का परम सौभाग्य मिला। माँ गंगा का आशीर्वाद पाकर मन को असीम शांति और संतोष मिला है। उनसे समस्त देशवासियों की सुख-समृद्धि, आरोग्य और कल्याण की कामना की। हर-हर गंगे!”
The Prime Minister also shared several photographs capturing the spiritual ambiance of the Maha Kumbh, emphasizing the profound sense of devotion, faith, and spirituality that resonates throughout the event.
The Maha Kumbh is one of the largest religious gatherings globally, attracting millions of devotees who partake in the ritualistic bathing believed to cleanse sins and bring spiritual merit.
