Bhashini’s multilingual translation at Maha Kumbh Prayagraj 2025 ensures seamless communication, lost/found registration, and real-time assistance through AI-powered solutions.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has introduced Bhashini, a language translation ecosystem designed to provide multilingual accessibility at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, from January 13 to February 26, 2025. This cutting-edge technology aims to enhance communication, information access, and support for millions of visitors.

Bhashini’s Digital Lost & Found Solution allows devotees to register lost and found items using their native language, with real-time voice and text translation to assist in smooth communication. The Kumbh Sah’AI’yak chatbot, powered by AI technologies such as Llama LLM, will also assist visitors with navigation, queries, and information in 11 languages, including Hindi, English, and nine other regional languages.

In addition, the UP 112 Emergency Helpline is integrating Bhashini’s CONVERSE feature to overcome language barriers. This feature enables real-time communication between distressed devotees and emergency responders. The collaboration between Bhashini and the Uttar Pradesh Police Department ensures that field officers are trained to effectively use the app for language support.

Bhashini’s multilingual support represents MeitY’s commitment to enhancing accessibility and ensuring a seamless experience for all visitors attending the world’s largest spiritual congregation.
