FASTag Annual Pass Launched: One-Time Fee, Seamless Travel 2025

New Delhi, August 15:
In a major step to improve convenience for highway commuters, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has successfully introduced the FASTag Annual Pass from August 15, 2025, at nearly 1,150 toll plazas across the country. The initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of using technology to enhance “Ease of Living” for citizens.

Overwhelming First-Day Adoption

The new system witnessed robust uptake on launch day. By 7 p.m., more than 1.4 lakh highway users had purchased and activated the annual pass, while nearly 1.39 lakh toll transactions were recorded. At any given time, between 20,000–25,000 users were concurrently active on the Rajmargyatra app. Pass holders also began receiving SMS confirmations for “zero deduction” toll crossings, reflecting smooth system integration.

Seamless Travel & Grievance Redressal

To ensure hassle-free travel, NHAI has deployed officials and nodal officers at every toll plaza. Additionally, the national highway helpline number 1033 has been reinforced with over 100 new executives to handle queries and grievances promptly.

Affordable and Convenient

The FASTag Annual Pass offers a one-time payment option of ₹3,000 for one year, or up to 200 toll crossings, eliminating the need for frequent recharges.
