Manganese Ore (India) Limited (MOIL) celebrated the 76th Republic Day with great patriotism and enthusiasm at its Balaghat mine. The celebrations began with the hoisting of the National Flag by Shri Ajit Kumar Saxena, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of MOIL, accompanied by Shri Rakesh Tumane, Director (Finance); Shri M.M. Abdulla, Director (Production & Planning); Ms. Rashmi Singh, Director (Commercial); and Smt. Sushma Saxena, who attended as a special invitee. Senior officials, employees, and their families actively participated in the event, which featured a grand parade by the Guards and schoolchildren.
The highlight of the event was a colorful cultural program that brought together over 500 schoolchildren and employees. Patriotic songs, dance performances, and other cultural displays reflected the spirit of unity and pride in the nation.
Commitment to Excellence and Welfare Initiatives
Addressing the gathering, Shri Saxena reaffirmed MOIL’s dedication to the values of the Constitution and its significant role in the nation’s development. During the event, the CMD, along with Mrs. Saxena, presented awards to the best-performing employees, security personnel, and hospital management teams. Winners of various competitions held during the Republic Day celebrations were also felicitated.
In a move to improve worker welfare, Shri Saxena announced new welfare schemes for contract laborers associated with MOIL, underscoring the company’s commitment to social responsibility.
Sports and Camaraderie
Adding to the celebratory fervor, a friendly cricket match between CMD XI and DF XI was organized at the Dongri Buzurg mine. The match promoted camaraderie and teamwork among MOIL employees. Smt. Sushma Saxena, the Chief Guest, presented trophies to the winning team, further enhancing the festive spirit.
MOIL’s Republic Day celebrations exemplified unity, pride, and a collective commitment to contributing to the nation’s progress.
