NFDC Launches Free Residential VFX & 3D Animation Training for Northeast Youth: Applications Open Until August 15

Mumbai, August 2, 2025 —
In a powerful initiative to bridge the digital divide and nurture creative talent, the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has launched a fully-funded, 8-month residential training program in 3D Animation and Visual Effects (VFX). This skill development opportunity is exclusively open to youth from the North Eastern states of India.

Targeting the aspiring creators of tomorrow from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura, the program is designed to deliver world-class VFX and animation education at zero cost, including free accommodation, meals, training resources, and industry mentorship.

🎓 Program Highlights:

  • Duration: 8 months (6 months classroom training + 2 months on-the-job training)

  • Location: Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh

  • Training Partner: Aptech Ltd.

  • Certification: Jointly issued by NFDC and NCVET

  • Seats Available: 100

  • Fee: ₹1,180 (non-refundable registration fee)

  • Eligibility:

    • Minimum 18 years old as of June 2025

    • 10+2 pass or 10th pass with 3+ years of relevant industry experience

  • Deadline to Apply: 15th August 2025

Selected candidates will be provided high-performance laptops, access to a state-of-the-art training facility, and real-world exposure through live industry projects. The initiative aims to make high-quality digital skill training accessible to economically and geographically underserved youth.
