New Delhi, January 2025:
The 8th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC), the flagship initiative by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, achieved an unprecedented milestone in 2025, with over 5 crore participants nationwide. This year’s edition witnessed an extraordinary surge in registrations, totaling 3.56 crore, compared to 2.26 crore registrations in 2024, marking a remarkable increase of 1.3 crore participants. In addition, 1.55 crore individuals actively engaged in various “Jan Andolan” activities, cementing PPC’s status as a transformative people’s movement.

A Nationwide Movement to Transform Exam Stress
Launched in 2018, Pariksha Pe Charcha has evolved into a vital initiative addressing exam-related stress by fostering a mindset of celebration and learning. The program resonates with students, teachers, and parents, promoting holistic education and mental well-being. Prime Minister Modi’s interactive dialogue with participants remains a cornerstone of the initiative, emphasizing that exams should be seen as a festival – “Utsav” – rather than a source of anxiety.

Engaging Activities to Build Focus and Resilience
Between 12th January 2025 (National Youth Day) and 23rd January 2025 (Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti), a series of school-level activities engaged students, parents, and teachers nationwide. These activities, conducted across 2.94 lakh schools, included:

  • Indigenous games like Kho-Kho and Kabaddi.
  • Creative initiatives such as meme competitions, Nukkad Natak performances, and poster-making contests.
  • Relaxation practices including yoga and meditation sessions.
  • Inspirational workshops, student-led discussions, and guest lectures.

A total of 1.42 crore students and 12.81 lakh teachers participated, further embedding PPC’s vision of a stress-free and supportive learning environment.
