New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed profound grief over the tragic loss of lives during the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. Speaking on the incident, the Prime Minister affirmed his continuous communication with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and assured that all necessary steps are being taken to assist those affected by the calamity.
In a heartfelt message shared on X, the Prime Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and wished a swift recovery for those injured.
“The tragic incident at Prayagraj Maha Kumbh is deeply saddening. My heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. I also wish the injured a speedy recovery. The local administration is working tirelessly to provide all possible assistance to the victims. I have spoken with CM Yogi Adityanath and remain in constant touch with the state government,” the Prime Minister wrote.
The Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, one of the largest religious gatherings globally, witnessed a tragic stampede earlier this week. Relief efforts are underway, with the local administration prioritizing assistance for the affected families and injured pilgrims.
