New Delhi, January 25, 2025: As part of the 76th Republic Day celebrations, Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Sanjay Seth presented awards to the winners of the National School Band Competition in New Delhi. The event concluded with the Grand Finale on January 24-25, 2025, where a jury comprising members from the Armed Forces selected winners across multiple categories.
Winners of the National School Band Competition
Pipe Band – Girls
- 1st Prize: PM Shri Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Patamda, East Singhbhum, Jharkhand (Eastern Zone)
- 2nd Prize: Bhonsala Military School Girls, Nasik, Maharashtra (Western Zone)
- 3rd Prize: Shri Thakurdwara Balika Vidyalaya, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh (Northern Zone)
- Consolation Prize: Monte CBSE School, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh (Southern Zone)
Pipe Band – Boys
- 1st Prize: City Montessori School, Kanpur Road, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh (Northern Zone)
- 2nd Prize: North Sikkim Academy, Nangan, Sikkim (Eastern Zone)
- 3rd Prize: Rajarambapu Patil Military School & Sports Academy, Sangli, Maharashtra (Western Zone)
- Consolation Prize: PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Belagavi Cantt., Karnataka (Southern Zone)

- 1st Prize: Government Sr. Sec. School West Point, Gangtok, Sikkim (Eastern Zone)
- 2nd Prize: St. Joseph’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh (Western Zone)
- 3rd Prize: St. Joseph’s Anglo Indian Girl’s Higher Secondary School, Kozhikode, Kerala (Southern Zone)
- Consolation Prize: Gayatri Vidyapeeth, Shantikunj, Haridwar, Uttarakhand (Northern Zone)
Brass Band – Boys
- 1st Prize: Prince Lotus Valley Academy, Sikar, Rajasthan (Western Zone)
- 2nd Prize: St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, Tripura (Eastern Zone)
- 3rd Prize: Pinegrove School, Subathu, Himachal Pradesh (Northern Zone)
- Consolation Prize: St. Xavier’s English Medium School, Pathalgaon, Chhattisgarh (Southern Zone)
Awards and Performances
The top three teams in each category received cash prizes of ₹21,000 (1st place), ₹16,000 (2nd place), and ₹11,000 (3rd place), along with a trophy and certificate. Consolation prize winners were awarded ₹3,000 each.
The winning team of the Pipe Band Girls category, PM Shri Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya from Jharkhand, will perform at the Kartavya Path during the Republic Day Parade on January 26, 2025. Additionally, PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Belagavi Cantt. and Government Sr. Sec. School West Point, Gangtok will perform at Vijay Chowk during the Beating Retreat Ceremony on January 29, 2025.

Shri Sanjay Seth hailed the winners and participants as the “brand ambassadors of Viksit Bharat,” reflecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India by 2047. He encouraged the youth to prioritize the nation and work towards its progress.

The National School Band Competition, organized jointly by the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education since RDC 2023, fosters a sense of unity, pride, and patriotism among school students, enhancing their connection to their schools and the country.
